Publican

I have talked about Publican before, but we tried a few new dishes.

Pork rilletes were quite nice, as was the spring salad with farro.

The sweetbreads were not particularly notable, aside from perfectly prepared Jerusalem artichokes that really does evoke the memory of its prickly moniker.

The french fries topped with fried egg was lovely as always. Utterly addictive and tantalizingly sinful.

A cassoulet type dish was wonderful, with pearly couscous? nestled in a savory broth.

The crudo was unremarkable: not bad, but it didn't make eyes widen with surprise.

Publican, Chicago, IL
